My favourite Odd Future video hands down. A Terry Richardson photo shoot that's gone completely off the rails in the raddest way. A new classic to say the least.

Live: Camera Obscura at TURF
Thursday just before dusk hit we soaked up the last few hour of sun with Camera Obscura at TURF. It hadn’t been since 2009 that the Glasgow indie pop act have graced us with their lovely songs of heartbreak and sailors. Playing both old favourites such as “Lloyd, I’m Ready to Be Heartbroken” and “French Navy” as well as spending some time with their 5th studio album Desire Lines (which just dropped this past June) it was the perfect way for us to celebrate the first night of this new festival.
music video of the (yesterday and to)day: "Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)" by Arcade Fire
Because the power has been out and my internet has been down for the past two days.
music video of the day: "Wrapped Up In Books" by Belle & Sebastian
After a day of rain and mud at TURF the rain cleared up just in time. Tonight was my second time seeing Belle & Sebastian. Tonight was the second time I saw them and couldn't stop smiling. This band. Sigh. So many high school memories. Still stuck in the post show twee daze.
music video of the day: "Summa Time" by Main Attrakionz
Some Bay Area cloud rap for this lovely summa Saturday.
The track is off their upcoming album 808s & Dark Grapes III produced by Friendzone.
Text Me: Gingy on Saturday Night Fervor
Tonight at BLK BOX Gingy & Bordello are celebrating their next EP. The warehouse techo Toronto twosome of Tiga's Turbo Records are all about bringing home the sweatbox vibes and we are oh so ready. I interviewed Gingy (via text) to chat a bit more about tonight. Check it out...
Toronto's BLK BOX. Tonight. 10pm-3am. $5. I'll see you there.
In the meantime, warm up to their Boiler Room set below for a little taste of what's to come.
Live: Yeah Yeah Yeahs at Echo Beach in Toronto
Monday night. Canada day. Outside, lakeside at Echo Beach. Already that’s a good set up. Now throw the Yeah Yeah Yeahs into the mix and you’ve got one good night.
It’d been too long since the NY art rock trio graced Toronto but luckily the release of their fourth album Mosquitocalls for tour time. Even having just seen them this past March at SXSW, we missed the YYYs already and were stoked to find out that they’d be providing the party on our national day off. Surprisingly the show didn’t sell out. Perhaps the steep ticket price was to blame? Upside: More room to dance. And dance we did.
With a jam packed set list of certifiable JAMS the Yeah Yeah Yeahs delivered like a good pizza: fast, hot and tasty. A mix of all the hits and fan favs from the Is Is EP’s “Down Boy” to debut album Fever To Tell‘s “Y Control”. Did we cry as soon as we realized they were going to treat us to “Maps”? You bet.
Karen O was something like a phenomenon, crawling on the stage, jumping around, screaming and shaking with every fiber in her beautiful being. With 3 outfit changes (fringe + headlamp / black studded leather / streamer cape), blue eyeshadow and some inverted cross eyeliner painted under her eyes, she looked as wild as she sounded, like a true iconic rock star. Somewhere between her passing around the mic in the audience during “Cheated Hearts” for some sweet heartwarming sing-alongs, and her closing up the two encores of the night by unzipping her white sequin capris for a feel, our brains melted. Just insane amazingness.
music video of the day: "I'm Out" by Ciara ft. Nicki Minaj
Guys. I'm really digging Ciara lately. "Body Party" is just too good. Don't get me wrong, "Ride" was a track. "1, 2 Step" was also a track. But she's since stepped up her game right? Whatever. I'm into it.
Check out Paul Chin's "Body Party" remix and grab the free download below.
Best of RiFF RAFF Vines makes me happy
Live life like a RiFF RAFF Vine: Crazy, fast and silly as hell.
Tonight in Toronto: The Mark Inside
Tonight at The Great Hall in Toronto, The Mark Inside will release their new album, Dark Hearts Can Radiate White Light. It will be a celebration of the album, and band member Chris Levoir, who passed away on June 1st. Come show some love. It all starts at 8pm and it's a Pay What You Can shindig.
music video of the day: "Trying To Be Cool" by Phoenix
Insert pun about how the song is called "Trying To Be Cool" & this is VERY cool.
So yeah. Success.
Bandz A Make Stephanie Tanner Dance
Can't decide which I like better, this or Pon De Bundy ...
music video of the day: "Dance Apocalyptic" by Janelle Monae
Oh man. You guys. I'm pretty excited for Janelle Monae's new record. I really dug the whole sci-fi soulness of The ArchAndroid, but this new 60s ish I can defiantly also get into. "Q.U.E.E.N." was so slick and now this?! Girl has got her hair DOWN! Trust me I loved the suit and pompadour, but it's nice to see this other side of her as well. She's still Janelle Monae, just feeling out a different vibe, and for that I applaude her. Top that off with the creative explosion that is this video treatment and it's all just so groovy. The Electric Lady is due out September 10th 2013.
music video of the day: "95 Til Infinity" by Joey Bada$$
Because his new mixtape Summer Knights finally dropped. Download it up. It's already so my new summer biking go to. Dude just announced a bunch of new tour dates. See also, his Funk Flex freestyle. Dude is young and talent as heck. I'm way to into it.
music video of the day: "Despair" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
I've got a date with the night at Echo Beach with Karen O and the crew.
What's more "Canada Day" than going to see a NY band at Ontario Place?
Ugh I'm so excited. This video gives me crazy chills.
You should also check out the entire Mosquito stream/band talk through they did with Noisey. C'est bon.
NXNE 2013: Keith Harris

music video of the day: "S.A.D." by Twist
Happy Pride!
Enjoy some cuteness alongside the Toronto city skyline with some Toronto tunes by Twist.
music video of the day: "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke ft. T.I. & Pharrell
Still in Vermont. Still chilling. Just celebrated my grandparents' 50th anniversary. It was adorable. Back to Toronto tomorrow night. It's nice getting away and all but I miss the city... for now though I'm happy sipping on this delicious 12 year old whiskey and dancing along to my little sister's summer song with her.
ps. I totally have hung out with Robin's dad Alan. Just saying. Ask me about it sometime...
