Looking for some fun this weekend Toronto? Out Of The Box Fest starts up tonight! Running from the 22nd to the 25th the fest focuses on enhancing the live music experience in a unique way. For example, tonight’s Izakaya Sushi House show is themed after miniature cities built for TV and film sets- think Godzilla. Friday’s Handlebar show with be super spacy. And so on. You can check out the whole line-up here for more details. Basically it’s gonna be a bunch of radness.

Remember a few months ago when I was freaking out about how much I loved Lorde?
Well guess what y'all I STILL LOVE HER!

But really so good right? Ugh. So good. I love that this track is starting to get some North American radio play. Just last night I was cruising around with a friend on a little summer joy ride, seeing as we both just got new jobs (congrats) so driving around the city with the windows down was essential. This came on the radio and you BEST BELIEVE that I sang along at the top of my lugs. Heck, I'm still singing along now. Shout outs to my roommate for putting up with me.

Back when I saw HAIM at SXSW in March they played a small little day show, and it was super killer. Now they're ripping up Glastonbury and featuring the most attractive member of the Lonely Island (and sometimes Girls cast member) Jorma Taccone in their video. There's no doubt that HAIM are blowing up.  Even White Lung's punk front-babe Mish Way called them the "Kardashians of modern rock". Their debut album Days Are Gone is out September 30.  Get ready. I have a feeling that it's gonna be huge.
